Hi , this is Bob based in the UK, and welcome to my personal blog ; it is a pleasure to meet.
As you are here, it is probable you are already in or intend joining the Networking Industry….Welcome ,you are in for the ride of your life. The industry is exciting, vibrant, and will repay abundantly the study, time, emotional commitment ,effort and whatever other resource you are prepared to invest in your future.
A quick overview of how I joined the industry and became an overnight Networking Success (NOT)!
Having always been interested in success, and following the “traditional ” pattern ,I arrived at University, bright eyed ,bushy-tailed convinced this was the route to wealth, happiness and success ;it didn’t take long for the sparkle to disappear, the dreams to fade, and the reality of “job conditioning” to kick in.
Needless to say on graduating, I headed straight to the door marked “EXIT” and spent several years completing my education through travel. Travel is , without doubt, one of the finest experiences in life, parameters expand, vision changes, absolute certainties disappear, and we are fortunate (and hopefully humble) enough to realise we are indeed blessed having been dealt the hand we have.
Appproaching my late 20′s I decided it was time to “grow up” and headed back to the UK into the delights of Corporate life……Oh Deep Joy.
Why Network Marketing?
I first stumbled into the Networking maze several years later, immediately seeing this as ” a route out” of the corporate jungle ;some thrive in this environment and others ( like me) feel life slowly being choked out of them.
I became committed, focused, motivated and determined ,but no matter how hard I , could get no significant traction. Weeks turned into months and months into years, and though success did come slowly, I could find no flaw in the basic marketing concept, so being a good networker , I just kept on and on and on…. .
So Why Not Quit?
There are generally two types of people in this industry:
Those who don’t consciously leave the industry, they fade away, little by little….. lose belief in their vision and glide into oblivion.
The second group never give up; once the dream is ignited and a burn in the pit of the stomach, the search for a better way becomes a relentless pursuit…… few indeed are people who succeed at the first attempt
Life indeed has a way of bringing things around again , and again and again, until at last we pay attention.
Success is an internal , not an external event….and yes we do indeed become the person we need to be to attract the success we desire into our lives.
Having closely followed my “Upline’s ” advise to build a list: family, friends, business associates, work colleagues, ex colleagues, neighbours, cold calling ,inviting people to my house and talking to anyone who would stand still long enough to listen… eventually the penny dropped, yes I was making my Business work, but with little or no duplication in the team.
Networking is built on helping others succeed, to give and give and give …….. and though I achieved the dizzying heights of top 1.5% of distributors in my Primary Company, others in the team were struggling to duplicate my success.
These methods do work, and people have built huge incomes…..but only a few highly talented, focused individuals. For others there is indeed a better way….and yes….there is light at the end of the tunnel.
You do not have to be Superman to succeed!!
Experience is gained from making mistakes, correcting, making more mistakes, correcting ……..
Wisdom is learning from others who have successfully navigated the route we wish to travel.
So What Changed?
It is never just “one thing” it is an accumulation of “little things “in life that eventually, like pieces in a jigsaw, come together to make the whole .
The Principles of Attraction Marketing
There are some giants in this Industry, Mike Dillard, Frank Kern, Jonathan Budd and others who have built marketing systems that not only harness the power of the internet, but automate the majority of activities thereby harnessing the power of leverage….. leverage of time, money, marketing and income…. moving from a linear to exponential income curve.
One of the keys is to stop chasing people….. this is a “Network Marketing” not a “Network Selling ” buisness.
Become a Leader….. the world is crying out for Leadership!
A successful Networker adds value to society and attracts people …….in the process building communities of consumers into which goods and services can be marketed.
Much indeed has been written on this subject; some articles are good, some outstanding and some have the “nuggets” which allow the “light bulb ” moment, and that is a day to be celebrated.
The Future
Since embedding the principles of Attraction Marketing into my business, results have improved dramatically, allowing a simple system of duplication for the benefit of the team. Having built a Networking Business via both “Old School ” and new attraction based principles , I can say, without any doubt Attraction Marketing, and harnessing the power of leverage is the way of the future.
If the thought of designing and living the lifestyle of your dreams is not just a passing phase, then you are in the right place at the right time in the right industry.
Everything you require can be learned….. with a little persistence you can indeed move mountains
